Sneak Peek

Just to show you what's cooking in the studio....preparing overtime now for my solo show in Manila at Artinformal this November. This may be the only sneak peek item (far from done) that I decide to reveal before the (frighteningly close) date. I know it's two months still, but I'm a slow worker and will be traveling this October, which is my personal deadline.

Offline Mountain

Took some time off from the hectic world and camped up in the mountains of Sierra Nevada (Kings Canyon and Seqouia National Forest). No electricity or running water; nothing but the sounds of the wilderness and the great rivers that run through it. It was time to shut down all manic systems and reboot. I'm now back in the city and looking forward to some hard work in the coming weeks before I jet off again.

Slowness

In existential mathematics: the degree of slowness is directly proportional to the intensity of memory; the degree of speed is directly proportional to the intensity of forgetting.

Bits And Bobs

Getting my head around the fundamentals for my show in November. Ideas are getting a tad clearer everyday I put myself to work in the studio. It is all beginning to make sense--not completely yet, but enough to string together the bits that work, while searching for the missing bobs.

Banner Phobia

Take 1

Take 2

Trying to come up with a simple, yet badass banner design for my friend's blogspot who is herself a badass singer and songwriter. Problem is, I haven't had much time to fully concentrate on this mini project so my initial treatments have been "almost there, but not quite..". I would normally do my own freehand lettering, but to kill time I downloaded a cool typeface I found on the internet. I did promise her my full attention at some point, so I'll be sure to post final designs.
